A government-financed Russian media outlet's recent report does its best to attach Modern Warfare 2 to a sad drome bombing.

Moscow's Domodedovo Airport was remov by a deadly suicide bombing attack this week that killed dozens of multitude and injured nearly 200 more. Short afterward, regime-financed media retail store Russia Today put together a report that questioned if games like Modern Warfare 2 were to blame.

Recent Warfare 2 made waves in 2009 when its controversial opening scene was revealed to put players in the place of a State terrorist group that attacks civilians in an airport. Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic Now's paper doesn't outright pick Modern Warfare 2 for the Domodedovo attack, only it uses quotes and edits that clearly indicate what the outlet was going for.

A Russia Today reporter first takes a look at the "No Russian" scene from the "American-made" Modern War 2, goes o'er the game's billion-dollar popularity with millions of people international, and finishes the persuasion by tying the virtual scenario to reality. With completely of the people "downloading, acting, and observance" Recent Warfare 2, the report suggests that terrorists could be training happening these types of games too.

Walid Phares, a "world terrorism skilful," is seen in the report saying: "It's a trouble to look at the gamy and then the world. We take to know if terrorists or extremists are using these videos or these dvds or these games to basically apply the model … I think those that consume been radicalized already – Jihadists, al-Qaeda, operating room other kinds – they take the games and see that these games will serve them to train."

Information technology's non obvious if Phares' quotes were taken out of context of use or non, only to me they seem abruptly cut out to imply the point that Russia Nowadays wanted for the paper. Russia Today also wonders why on that point hasn't been more criticism of the game in tripping of the Domodedovo attack.

Vanilla and elementary, the report is work-shy journalism at its finest. I don't recognise how the direction construction of Russia Nowadays determines what's reported on (with that whole "governance-funded" aspect), but it seems like somebody at the electric outlet wanted to cause more outrage over a terrible tragedy and maybe link a bit xenophobia just for kicks. Avowedly, Modern Warfare's "Zero Country" scene is real disturbing, simply someday I hope the media will cover the world's ills without looking aft to see if at that place's a videogame information technology can vaguely compare them to.
